Basketball Game Preview: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Hunter Wolverines

The Taylorsville Warriors will face off against the Hunter Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylorsville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Taylorsville slipped by West Jordan 48-47.

Meanwhile, Hunter earned a 40-33 win over Kearns on Thursday.

Hunter's win came from a few key players Taylorsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Grace Gallagher, who almost dropped a triple-double with nine points, 12 rebounds, and ten blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last 36 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiana Pauni, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Hunter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matches.

Taylorsville's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Hunter, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Taylorsville was able to grind out a solid win over Hunter when the teams last played back in January, winning 60-49. Does Taylorsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hunter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
