Preview: Bishop Carroll vs. Penns Valley Area
Penns Valley Area will be playing at home against Bishop Carroll at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Penns Valley Area have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Penns Valley Area had a rough outing against Midd-West two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Penns Valley Area captured a comfortable 42-27 win over Bellefonte. Among those leading the charge for Penns Valley Area was junior Aaron Tobias, who passed for 384 yards and 4 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Tobias's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past seven games.
Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll came up short against Central last Friday, falling 14-24. This makes it the second loss in a row for Bishop Carroll.
Penns Valley Area's victory lifted them to 4-3 while Bishop Carroll's defeat dropped them down to 2-5. We'll see if Penns Valley Area's success rolls on or if Bishop Carroll are able to steal their positive momentum.
