Football Recap: Nipmuc Regional Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Thursday just wasn't the day for Nipmuc Regional's offense. They were beaten by the Clinton Gaels 42-0 on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Clinton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Naughton, who rushed for 144 yards and two TDs on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards Naughton has posted since back in October of 2024. Another back making a difference was Taetum Cassella, who rushed for 130 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Nipmuc Regional and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Clinton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nipmuc Regional will host Bay Path RVT at 12:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mashpee at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
