Cardinal Stritch will head into Friday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against Ottawa Hills, falling 65-29. The Cardinals have struggled against the Green Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 90-9, which was the final score in Woodward's tilt against Start on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Spartans are ranked 105th).

Cardinal Stritch's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Woodward, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Everything went Cardinal Stritch's way against Woodward in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Cardinal Stritch made off with a 44-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cardinal Stritch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
