Basketball Game Preview: Loogootee Lions vs. Eastern Greene Thunderbirds

The Loogootee Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Greene took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Loogootee, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Loogootee turned things around against Shoals on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-45 win over the Jug Rox.

Meanwhile, Eastern Greene came up short against North Knox on Saturday and fell 50-41. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Loogootee, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Loogootee against Eastern Greene in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 55-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loogootee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
