Memorial takes loss despite strong efforts from Asia Roper and Mataya Hall

Recap: Memorial Chargers vs. Will Rogers College Ropers

The Memorial Chargers were the 93-5 winner over the Will Rogers College Ropers when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Memorial fell 67-56 to Will Rogers College on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the defeat, Memorial had strong showings from Mataya Hall, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds, and Asia Roper, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Hall hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games.

Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Will Rogers College, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memorial and Holland Hall will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Will Rogers College, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Edison at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
