Softball Recap: Wasco Finds Playoff Glory Versus Paso Robles

It's playoff time, and Wasco had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Paso Robles Bearcats by a score of 6-3 on Thursday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cedes Saldana spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Abby Salazar, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aliya Leal, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
