Chandler Prep has gone a perfect 4-0 against St. John Paul II Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Titans will welcome the Lions at 5:15 p.m. Chandler Prep will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Chandler Prep needed a bit of extra time to put away Wickenburg. They had just enough and edged out the Wranglers 19-18.

Chandler Prep let Kate W and Emily Ferruzzi run wild. W scored five runs and stole six bases while going 5-for-6, while Ferruzzi went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits Ferruzzi has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Drost, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Chandler Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Catholic fell victim to Wickenburg and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 20-0 to the Wranglers. Having soared to a lofty 25 runs in the game before, the Lions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

St. John Paul II Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Edwards, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Chandler Prep pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Chandler Prep skirted past St. John Paul II Catholic 12-11 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
