Basketball Game Preview: Memorial Warriors vs. Liberty Redhawks

The Memorial Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Liberty Redhawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 games.

Memorial can't be too worried about heading out to take on Liberty: they just beat Emerson at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Memorial came out on top against Emerson by a score of 68-60 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Liberty escaped with a win on Tuesday against Independence by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. Given the Redhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Knights are ranked 333rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Memorial has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Liberty, they pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Memorial strolled past Liberty in their previous meeting on January 7th by a score of 60-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Memorial since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
