Baseball Recap: Weston Wolves vs. St. Frederick Warriors
Weston had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 13-9 to make it four. They lost 10-3 to the St. Frederick Warriors. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
As for St. Frederick, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-14. Ten seems to be a good number for them as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
For St. Frederick's part, CLAYTON TURPIN made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. St. Frederick is undefeated when TURPIN posts two or more runs, but 7-14 otherwise.

He has become a key player for St. Frederick: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-12 otherwise. CARTER SHEPARD also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Looking ahead, Weston will face off against Castor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Frederick, they will be playing at home against Franklin Parish at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.56 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
