Football Recap: Shadow Ridge Piles Up the Points Against Clark

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shadow Ridge). They blew past the Clark Chargers 34-0 on Thursday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 20 points or more this season.

A big part of Shadow Ridge's win came down to the chemistry between Aubree Davis and her top target Jaylani Palmer. Davis threw for 235 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84% of her passes while Palmer gained 165 total yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Palmer is now averaging an impressive 102.2 receiving yards per game.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Shadow Ridge, bringing their record for this year to 9-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.4 points per game. As for Clark, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Shadow Ridge and Clark will both be playing Faith Lutheran the next time they take the field. Clark will head out to face Faith Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Shadow Ridge will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
