Football Game Preview: Oberlin Phoenix vs. Black River Pirates

Oberlin hasn't had much luck against Black River recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Phoenix will welcome the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Oberlin has given up an average of 38.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Black River). They blew past Wellington, posting a 48-7 victory. The Pirates have beaten the Dukes the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Dukes has come to flipping the script.

Oberlin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Black River, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
