Austin had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Akins Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Maroons also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Austin was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, 25-13.

Kyndall Anding paced Austin's offense, picking up six kills. Anding got some help from Nora Bettis and her 14 assists. Maggie McCarroll controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Austin's win bumped their record up to 30-3. As for Akins, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-21 record this season.

Austin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Del Valle on the 26th. As for Akins, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Dripping Springs on the 26th.
