Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Creekside Knights

The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors will square off against the Creekside Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Trinity Christian Academy took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against North Marion, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Trinity Christian Academy skirted past North Marion 2-1.

Brennan Bachtell Jr looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gage Petrutz, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Creekside hadn't done well against Lincoln recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Everything went Creekside's way against Lincoln as Creekside made off with a 10-3 victory. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Connor Balazic was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Morton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Creekside's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
