Basketball Recap: Slinger Comes Up Short

Slinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Grafton Black Hawks, falling 75-36. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-39 back in December of 2024.

Slinger's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Grafton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9.

Slinger and Grafton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Slinger will take on Cedarburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 178 places (265 vs. 87). Meanwhile, Grafton (ranked 188th) will meet Whitefish Bay (ranked 24th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
