Gloversville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They skirted past the Johnstown Sir Bills 18-16. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies/Dragons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Johnstown is on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Gloversville will challenge Saratoga Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Johnstown, they will head out to square off against Mayfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
