Softball Recap: Bethel-Tate Has No Trouble Against Blanchester

It was a proper cat-fight when Bethel-Tate challenged Blanchester on Wednesday. The Tigers blew past the Wildcats 11-4. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Kaylee Randolph spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jess Mahan was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Addysyn Bohl, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Bethel-Tate now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Blanchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Bethel-Tate is taking a road trip to face off against Williamsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blanchester, they will take on Georgetown at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
