Volleyball Game Preview: EPIC Academy Legends vs. Hubbard Greyhounds

The EPIC Academy Legends will challenge the Hubbard Greyhounds at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

EPIC Academy is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season two weeks ago. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Thornridge.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, EPIC Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-0, 0-25, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Hubbard played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against Victoria Soto by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greyhounds.

While Hubbard won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18.

EPIC Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hubbard, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

EPIC Academy came up short against Hubbard when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Legends avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
