Baseball Game Preview: McKinley Bulldogs vs. Washington Tigers

McKinley hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McKinley comes in on three and Washington on four.

While McKinley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy by a score of 5-2 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Washington narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Madison 7-5.

McKinley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

McKinley couldn't quite get it done against Washington in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
