Basketball Recap: Raton Tigers vs. Pecos Panthers
Raton lost against Pecos back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raton Tigers took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pecos Panthers.

Loss or not, Raton got some senior leadership from Wyatt Berry and Chase Walton. Berry dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds, while Walton went 6-for-12 on his way to 12 points along with five boards and four blocks. Walton is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Petrini, who posted four points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.
Even though they lost, Raton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 20 consecutive contests.
