Preview: Lake Holcombe Chieftains vs. Prairie Farm Panthers
The Lake Holcombe Chieftains will stay at home for another game and welcome the Prairie Farm Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on January 19th. One thing working in Lake Holcombe's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 contests.
Lake Holcombe pushed their score all the way to 96 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Winter at home by a decisive 112-96 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (55), Lake Holcombe still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Prairie Farm's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Flambeau. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lake Holcombe's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Prairie Farm, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-8 record last season and are now at 1-9.
Lake Holcombe didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Prairie Farm when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 81-76 victory.
