Baseball Recap: Buffalo Gets the Win

Buffalo got themselves on the board against Clay County on Monday, but Clay County never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Panthers. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Anthony Pitchford's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Buffalo is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 10-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Caiden Craig and Luca Signorini did most of the damage at the plate: Craig got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double, while Signorini went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was Signorini's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nate Gillispie, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Buffalo's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Clay County, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Buffalo nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
