Basketball Recap: Floyd Central Falls Despite Big Games from Sam Higgins and Landon Reed

The loss continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Floyd Central's loss came despite strong showings from Landon Reed and Sam Higgins. Reed went 5-for-12 en route to 22 points, while Higgins shot 70% from the field to rack up 22 points. That was a full 40.7% of Floyd Central's points, marking the fourth time in a row Reed has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Floyd Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for New Albany, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
