Wicksburg came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with 18 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Mineral Point Pointers get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Natalie Cole, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Mineral Point off the board. Cole has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chloe Joyner, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Anleigh Wood was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Wicksburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Wicksburg's victory bumped their record up to 22-5.

Wicksburg is on the road again on Tuesday to play Columbia Central at 12:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wicksburg 1.1, Columbia Central 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mineral Point, they will face off against Orange Beach at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
