Softball Recap: Fort Edward's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Fort Edward finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Salem Generals. The loss continues a trend for the Flying Forts in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost six in a row.

Bradie Tyler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fort Edward fell to 3-1.

Coming up, Fort Edward will challenge North Warren Central at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Salem, they will square off against Greenwich at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
