Basketball Recap: Aiken Piles Up the Points Against Taft

Aiken won the last time they faced Taft and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Aiken Falcons blew past the Taft Senators 52-13. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Several Senators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was DiYannah Wright, who posted four points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Wright a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taryn White, who scored four points and five boards.

Aiken has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.1 points. As for Taft, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
