Softball Recap: Lawrence North Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lawrence North entered their tilt with Warren Central on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Warriors 12-2. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Chloe Moss made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Tessa Kramer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyauri Jones, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lawrence North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Lawrence North's record is now 5-8. As for Warren Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Lawrence North has already played their next matchup, a 15-2 loss against Zionsville on the 5th. As for Warren Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-6 defeat against Lebanon on the 3rd.
