A Season-Best Performance from Beau Ellis Leads the Woodlands Christian Academy over San Antonio Christian
Beau Ellis produced his most outstanding game to date while leading The Woodlands Christian Academy to the win on Friday. Ellis rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 69 yards.
The Woodlands Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fort Bend Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors had to take a loss when they last met the Eagles, but Ellis had little to do with the loss: he picked up 88 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kole Whiddon was instrumental in extending Fort Bend Christian Academy's winning streak to six on Thursday. Whiddon was unstoppable, rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 89 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Fort Bend Christian Academy's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 3-4 otherwise.
