Mountain View is 9-1 against Massaponax since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Mountain View Wildcats challenge Massaponax Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Mountain View is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Charles J. Colgan by a score of 11-9. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Massaponax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to Courtland.

Jace Hawkins and Robbie Howes did some serious damage despite the final result: Hawkins scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Howes scored a run and stole three bases. Hawkins also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Luke Burner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mountain View fell to 2-1. As for Massaponax, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Mountain View was able to grind out a solid win over Massaponax when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
