Basketball Recap: Letcher County Central Takes a Loss

If Letcher County Central was feeling good fresh off their 73-44 takedown of Jackson City last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars lost to the Prestonsburg Blackcats on the road by a 74-60 margin on Thursday. The Cougars / Lady Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackcats earlier this season, when they won 79-63.

Letcher County Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Prestonsburg, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13.

Letcher County Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-54 defeat against Jenkins on the 26th. As for Prestonsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-69 win against Lawrence County on the 25th.
