Softball Recap: Benavides Comes Up Short

If Benavides was feeling good fresh off their 19-9 takedown of George West on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Benavides Eagles came up short against the West Oso Bears on Thursday, falling 15-4. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Benavides' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Oso, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Benavides will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Orange Grove at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Oso, they will host San Diego at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
