Volleyball Recap: Varela Vipers vs. Sunset Knights
Varela was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Sunset Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vipers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8.
Varela now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Sunset, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Varela will take on Goleman at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Sunset and Miami will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
