Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Catholic). They blew past the Citrus Hurricanes 16-6 on Friday. Considering the Celtics have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Caylee Barbe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Barbe was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Kristina Fogelman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Forsyth, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
