Volleyball Recap: Winona Takes a Loss

Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Quitman Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-2, 25-9.

Winona's record now sits at 3-17. As for Quitman, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Winona is set to take on their familiar foe Edgewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Quitman will square off against rival Malakoff at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
