Columbia had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by the Salem Wildcats at home to the tune of 38-8. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matches by 24 points or more so far this season.

Jase Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 173 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Columbia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 387 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Columbia didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Mason Voegele.

Despite the loss, Salem still got an impressive performance from Miking Ettress, who picked up 165 receiving yards and a touchdown. Ettress' longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
