Baseball Recap: Lake Howell's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lake Howell won the last time they faced Lyman and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lake Howell Silverhawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lyman Greyhounds, sneaking past 5-3. The win was familiar territory for the Silverhawks, who have now won four contests in a row.

Brody Crosby looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lake Howell is 4-2 when Crosby allowsthree or fewer hits, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Michael Ramos was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Joseph Lehnen, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Lake Howell pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing nine hits in those games compared to only 4.1 in the others. As for Lyman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Lake Howell will be playing at home against University at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Lake Howell has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lyman, they will head out to face off against Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
