Baseball Recap: Elida Comes Up Short

Elida fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lincolnview on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 4-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Elida saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonan Snyder, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Elida's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Lincolnview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elida will take on Columbus Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincolnview, they will challenge Allen East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
