Volleyball Recap: Oblong Find Success

Oblong lost to Charleston back in September of 2016, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Their offense was headlined by Macy Krick and Layla Krick, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Jenkins and her ten assists. Finally, she was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Oblong's victory bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Charleston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-24.

Oblong wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Richland County on the 18th. As for Charleston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Carterville on the 18th.
