Preview: Crosspoint Warriors vs. Summit Classical Christian School Archers
The Crosspoint Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Summit Classical Christian School Archers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crosspoint has four straight victories, Summit Classical Christian School has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, Crosspoint gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They really took it to Evergreen Lutheran for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-19 victory on the road. Crosspoint's win was all the more impressive since Evergreen Lutheran was averaging only 28.14 points allowed on the season.
Crosspoint found their leader in underclassman Momoyo Iwata, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Iwata hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Halle Kuske was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Summit Classical Christian School suffered a tough 39-17 defeat at the hands of Northwest Christian two weeks ago.
Crosspoint has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Summit Classical Christian School, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
