Frederick is on a three-game streak of home losses, Skyline a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change on Thursday. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Golden Eagles faces off against Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Frederick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Frederick made easy work of Silver Creek and carried off a 13-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Payton Torres made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
