Softball Recap: Headland Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Headland's offense. They came up short against the Enterprise Wildcats on Thursday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Headland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Goodwin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Headland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Headland will challenge Eufaula at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enterprise, they will square off against Dothan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
