Volleyball Preview: Kimball Cubs vs. Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Kimball Cubs and the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kimball came up short against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

After all that action, the final score was 25-22, 25-21, 25-17.

The losing side was boosted by Daisie Pramann, who had 17 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Kuechle, who had five digs and 18 assists.

Meanwhile, Eden Valley-Watkins was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holy Family Catholic.

Kimball's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Kimball was able to grind out a solid victory over Eden Valley-Watkins in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kimball since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
