Basketball Recap: Kootenai Takes a Loss

Kootenai was the 1-0 winner over Clark Fork when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kootenai Warriors took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clark Fork Wampus Cats on Thursday.

Owen Howard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clark Fork, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 20 rebounds. The matchup was Howard's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Cruz, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Kootenai's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Clark Fork, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Kootenai will take on Mullan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clark Fork, they will challenge Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lakeside has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three games.
