Volleyball Recap: Plano East Beats Plano for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Plano East extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 9-2. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Plano Wildcats. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Plano East's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Nguyen, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Nguyen has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Huynh, who had 13 digs and one assist.

As for Plano, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3. The game marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

Despite the defeat, Plano saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Osborn had 15 digs and three assists. Osborn has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Plano East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Lake Highlands on the 23rd. As for Plano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Pearce on the 23rd.
