Volleyball Recap: Cordova Takes a Loss

Cordova was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Good Hope Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15.

Amari Hagler paced Cordova's offense, picking up six kills. Hagler got some help from Lexee King and her 15 assists. Finally, Hagler was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Good Hope, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-11.

Coincidentally, Cordova and Good Hope will both be playing Winston County the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will host the Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
