Softball Recap: Chicopee Comp Comes Up Short

Chicopee Comp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the McCann Tech Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-1 back in April.

Alexis Wojcik made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ari Chagnon, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Chicopee Comp's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for McCann Tech, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chicopee Comp will welcome Palmer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McCann Tech, they will face off against Drury at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
