Volleyball Recap: Roy Takes a Loss

Roy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmington Phoenix. The Royals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Phoenix from their previous meeting back in November of 2022.

Farmington found their leader in freshman Kole Riebe, who had 13 digs and five assists. Riebe has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 13 times she's played.

Roy's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season.

Roy has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Grantsville on the 11th. As for Farmington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Wasatch on the 11th.
