Soccer Recap: Thornton Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Thornton was not quite Fountain-Fort Carson's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of Fountain-Fort Carson by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that Thornton has lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Thornton and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornton will square off against Northglenn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on April 1. Palmer's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Fountain-Fort Carson's offense will have their work cut out for them.
