Gridley got themselves on the board against Willows on Friday, but Willows never followed suit. They really took it to the Honkers for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-0 victory. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Gridley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Manny Sandoval out in front who rushed for 108 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. Marcus Duncan was another key back, rushing for 73 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gridley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 178 rushing yards in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Gridley pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.1 points over those games. As for Willows, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
