Baseball Game Preview: Frontier Titans vs. Garces Memorial Rams

Frontier has gone 8-2 against Garces Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Titans will welcome the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Frontier's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Hanford. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Bullpups recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Landon Nettles tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Frontier got a massive performance out of Landon McDonald, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. That's the most hits McDonald has posted since back in March. Jaylen Tia was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Garces Memorial was able to grind out a solid win over South East on Wednesday, taking the game 13-8.

The team relied heavily on D'Angelo Flynn, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Garces Memorial: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Williams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Frontier now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Garces Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Frontier beat Garces Memorial 8-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
